This was our third day of glacier viewing in a row. It was back to Hubbard Glacier for us, but this time we would not get to the glacier until the afternoon. We had not set an alarm, but we were awake just before 8. We got up and ready and then headed to the Windjammer for some breakfast. It was nice to be back to our usual routine. Graham had fruit and yoghurt followed by oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins. I had congee and sausages. The sausages were not as nice as they were the previous week, but the congee definitely hit the spot. After breakfast, we headed up to the Crown Lounge for some decent coffee.
When we had finished our coffee, we went downstairs to the Schooner Bar. We managed to snag a table by the window and just relaxed. Soon it was time for morning trivia. We scored 11 out of 20 and the winning score was 15. We stayed behind for Connections Puzzles. Now that we had the hang of the concept, we did a lot better and scored 30 out of 32. We were still outdone as the winning score was 32.
After trivia, we figured that some fresh air was in order. We went to the cabin to pick up some layers and found a new towel animal. We headed out on the promenade deck. Graham wanted to stake out potential viewing spots for later. He found some potential spots that had heat vents nearby. With this mission accomplished, we headed up to the Windjammer for lunch. We both had salad. Graham picked from some prepared salads, and I made myself a diy salad. After lunch, we headed to the solarium for some coffee. They had pistachio pound cake that day and I had a couple of slices of this with my coffee.

Once we had finished our coffee, we headed back to the Schooner Bar. However, Graham got restless and decided to go up to the cabin to get his telescope and then he would stake out a viewing spot. I figured that I would have time to do Disney trivia before we got close to the glacier. I asked Graham where I will be able to find him and then I settled down to read. Just before Disney trivia was due to start, I realised that we were much closer to the glacier than I had anticipated. I abandoned the idea of doing the trivia and headed downstairs to find Graham. I did not have to try very hard. It was pretty overcast, but it was dry, and the visibility was much better than on the way up. We also got a much better view at the sealion colony. I tried to take some photos, but even with the pretty spectacular zoom capabilities of my phone, this was too far away. The captain took his time, and we did a couple very slow turns so that everybody got plenty of glacier viewing time. At some stage a photographer came round. We were wearing our embarkation shirts just in case as we had missed out on photos the previous the day. It was shame that we were not facing the glacier when the photographer came by, but we still had some pretty scenery in the photo. There was more ice in the water this time round and I got plenty of photos with the beautiful blue glacier ice. This was when I was very glad that it was overcast. The vibrant blue of the glacier ice really stood out against the grey surroundings.

Once we were heading out to the open sea again, we went back inside. We dropped our stuff off in our cabin and then we went back to the Schooner Bar. Name that Tune Abba was just about to start. They had some different songs this time and they obviously suited us better. We scored 11 out of 18, which was a very respectable result for a music trivia. The winning score was 15. We had a drink of the day each during the Abba trivia, which was Blue Wave that day. We had another drink with afternoon trivia. Graham went back to the Irish coffee, and I had a desert pear margarita. We scored 12 out of 20 in afternoon trivia and the winning score was 15.
Even though I had not actually felt all that cold while we were on the promenade deck for the glacier viewing, I felt like I could just not get warm again once we were inside. We decided to head back to the cabin to defrost. On the way, we stopped by the shop and got a ship model, and I got a Spirit Jersey, which are the souvenirs that I like to get for each ship. Then we headed back to the cabin. I had every intention of just wrapping up in the quilt and reading. However, experience has taught me to always set an alarm when I do this. Sure enough, soon both of us were asleep. We must have needed it. Once the alarm went off, we got showered and changed and then we headed for dinner.
Dinner that evening was the A Taste of France menu. This week our table was more towards the front of the dining room and our dining team was even better than the one we had the previous week. Graham had the escargot for his starter, and I went with the iceberg wedge salad. For his main course, Graham went with the seafood linguine, and I had the Beef Bourguignon with white rice. For dessert, Graham had the warm apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream, and I had crème brûlée. We both had a couple of glasses of the Chateau St. Michelle Riesling. Dinner was very pleasant.

As we were leaving the dining room, I spotted my first cruising duck of the trip. It was a cute blue rubber duck with a nautical outfit. This got adopted. We got through the stateroom corridor on deck 4 as the midship elevators were very busy. The artwork was very similar to what we had seen on other decks, and we decided to give up on this project. Near the forward elevator lobby, I found a cute little yellow resin duck. That got adopted, too. Those were the only two ducks I saw the entire trip.
We headed back to the cabin, and I took a quick photo of our new cabin mates. Then we got ready for bed. I read a chapter of my book and then I settled down for the night.
