We were awake around 07:00 again. We took our time to get up and ready. Then we went for some breakfast. It was quite bumpy that morning and the pools had been emptied. As there was no prospect of aqua aerobics, we had all the time in the world. We decided to have breakfast in the solarium bistro that morning. This was a bit more chilled than the Windjammer. Graham started with some fruit. He then had smoked mackerel and salmon with baguette. He also had a bit of a sweet tooth that morning and had a croissant, a banana streusel muffin, and a custard Danish. I initially was struggling to find something that I fancied. I then noticed that they had bagels behind the counter. I had a toasted bagel with cream cheese and honey roasted ham, which worked surprisingly well. I fancied some waffles, but they did not have any that morning. Instead, I had French toast with whipped cream, strawberry compote, and cinnamon. French toast is not something I usually gravitate towards, but this definitely hit the spot.
After breakfast, we headed downstairs to the Music Hall. The puzzle of the day was still ongoing, which was a fancy kind of Sudoku. We did not fancy our chances with this and just relaxed until it was time for morning trivia. We did pretty well with this and scored 14 out of 20. The winning score was 16. I was pretty happy with this result.
After morning trivia, we headed to the Two70 for progressive trivia. We felt that we were doing OK, but some answers that we were absolutely sure about turned out to be wrong. Judging from the groaning in the room, we were not the only people with that experience. Most certainly the team with whom we had swapped sheets had not done any better than we had.
After progressive trivia, we went out on deck 5 for some fresh air. When we came back in, I noticed that the light fixture near the midship elevators was lit up in blue. I had only ever seen this lit up in red or yellow. I took a photo of this.

I was ready for some lunch. Graham was not hungry but came along to the Windjammer with me. I had a slice of Jerk roasted pork, a Beef enchilada and some fusilli with sausage and vegetables. What I really fancied was penne with meatballs and tomato sauce. However, this had all gone when I went to get my food. When I went to check on what the desserts were that day, I noticed that it had been replenished and I decided to get some of this instead of dessert. Graham had spotted some rice pudding on his way to our table, and he could not resist this. He had a bowl of this.

After lunch, we both went our separate ways. There was an event that I thought looked like fun, but that did not appeal to Graham. I checked roughly where I would find him afterwards and then I headed off. On the way to the cabin, I got a vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream. I then briefly went back to the cabin to pick up some more ducks to hide and to get my iPad before heading to the Two70. I hid some ducks on the way.
I made sure I got to the Two70 nice and early as I had rightly assumed that this would be a busy event. I got a decent seat and just settled down to read. The activity was a cake decorating contest between the Captain and Cruise Director. Captain Per is a real character, and this promised to be hilarious. It did not disappoint either. It turned out completely different from what I expected. I had experienced something similar to this on one of our long Disney cruises and there it was a genuine contest where the Captain and the Cruise Director got creative. With this, both of them were paired up with chef who guided them through how to assemble the cake. This was heavy on the comedy and light on the actual decorating. Towards the end, it turned into a food fight. I nearly laughed tears. As we left the Two70, they had a large version of what the cakes should have looked like and were giving out pieces of this. I passed on this as I was still full from lunch.

I went to find Graham. It did not take me long to find him. We decided to relax on one of the round loungers. It was not particularly cold, but it was windy. Graham offered to get me another layer and I took him up on this offer. We stayed up there for about 90 minutes.
Next up was Where In The World Am I in the Schooner Bar. This is one of my favourite trivia formats. It was obvious that it was not just mine. The Schooner Bar was packed, and people were even crowding in the elevator lobby. We scored 74 out of 100 and the winning score was 89.
After Where In The World Am I, some speedy footwork was required as this trivia had slightly overrun and there was only 15 minutes between the two anyway. Still, we made it in time and there were plenty of people who were in the same position. Bartenders were coming round trying to get some business. We both had a Tribute. This is one of the signature cocktails at Music Hall and consists of coconut rum and raspberry liqueur topped with pineapple juice and a splash of club soda, I had this before on other Quantum class ships and always have really enjoyed this. This one did not disappoint either. We did OK with Trivia @5. We scored 12 out of 20 and the winning score was 16.
After trivia, we headed up to the Roy bar for a bit. We both had a Watermelon Rita, and this definitely hit the spot. Once we had finished our drinks, we headed back to our cabin to get showered and changed. Then we went downstairs to get some photos.

Once we had made the rounds of the photo opportunities, we went to the dining room for dinner. The menu that evening was another unique menu for longer sailings and was called A Taste of the World. Graham had smoked salmon carpaccio with red onions, capers, dill, parsley, and lemon dressing for his starter. I had roasted tomato soup topped with crème fraiche, garlic focaccia croutons and basil pesto. For his main course, Graham had the Steak Diane, which consisted of seasoned strip steak served with a baked potato, grilled vegetables, and a rich mushroom-Cognac sauce. I had chicken schnitzel served with sautéed potatoes, a Dijon mustard sauce, and classic cabbage slaw. I am not always too keen on coleslaw, but this was not really what I would call cabbage slaw, but a proper German cabbage salad that consisted of finely cut cabbage with an oil and vinegar dressing and was flavoured with caraway seats. I happily would have made a meal out of this. This also worked very well with the Chateau St. Michelle Riesling. For dessert, Graham has the summer fruit pavlova, and I had the Royal chocolate cake.

After dinner, we headed back to the cabin. We were gaining another hour during the night. I changed the time on the gadgets while Graham got ready for bed. Once he was done, I got ready for bed, too and then I read a chapter in my book before going to sleep, too.
